Help us reconnect with Founder families!
During this transitional period in our history, this visionary group of men and women made the decision to purchase the current site and relocate the camp from the Wilmington location. The board grew from a 5-person Committee to a 16-member Board of Directors, did extensive work to ready the property for summer camp use, created by-laws and incorporating in 1970.
Continuing the vision of others in the Advent Christian Conference, they made bold decisions, raised funds, and invested themselves into the work in ways that put the ministry of Camp Dixie on a solid foundation.
We want to locate the relatives of the people on this list in order to invite them to join us at Harvest Day on Saturday, October 12 for lunch and a time of remembrance. First, we need to gather their names and contact information. Please direct them to this page on our website. If you have information or contacts, please email Lana Jernigan at lanajernigan@campdixie.com.

PHOTOS OF FOUNDERS Do you have a photo of any of these individuals that you could share with us? We’d especially love headshots from the 60’s and 70’s that we can share as part of our presentation. Scan and email to Lana or contact her so we can make arrangements to get them from you!
On Harvest Day, we will also be gathering and scanning your favorite old camp photos.
