Who We Are
Camp Dixie is a Christian non-profit camp and retreat center located just South of Fayetteville in the Sandhills of Eastern North Carolina. Located on a small, cypress lake, we have a variety of lodging and meeting facilities, as well as some exciting recreational options to choose from!
Our weeks of summer camp draw kids and teens from all over the Southeast. If you’re looking for an amazing summer experience for your child, we offer a variety of sessions each summer.
Many groups have found Camp Dixie to be the ideal location for their own weekend retreat, training seminar or church gathering . Other groups use the facility to host their own week of summer camp. We’re open year-round, serving a variety of age groups.

Camp Dixie’s mission is to promote the Gospel of Christ through evangelism and discipleship in quality summer camps for youth and retreat programs for all ages and to provide a Christ-centered year-round retreat site.
Camp Dixie is open only to private organizations and is not open to the public.
MEMBERSHIPS & DESIGNATIONS
Camp Dixie is an active member of the Christian Camp and Conference Association. Our staff regularly attends conferences and seminars to improve our services to our campers and guests. Camp Dixie has achieved "Partner in Prevention,” a nationally-recognized public standard to end child sexual abuse (CSA). The designation was awarded for Camp Dixie’s commitment to protecting children by training 100-percent of its staff and volunteers on how to prevent, recognize the signs, and react responsibly to CSA.
DENOMINATIONAL AFFILIATION
Camp Dixie is owned and operated by the Eastern North Carolina Advent Christian Conference. A seventeen member board meets bi-monthly to oversee the direction and programs of the ministry.
Camp Dixie permits Advent Christian Churches and Agencies, other Christian denominational groups, para-church groups and non-profit organizations whose purpose and objectives are not contrary with those of the Advent Christian Conference of Eastern North Carolina or its General Conference to use Camp Dixie facilities as space is available. Use of Camp Dixie by entities not affiliated with the Advent Christian Conference of Eastern North Carolina or its General Conference does not imply alignment or sympathy with or endorsement by the Advent Christian Conference of Eastern North Carolina or its General Conference. In keeping with the mission and policy of Camp Dixie, the executive director of Camp Dixie has the authority to schedule or refuse use of the facility. Furthermore, the executive director reserves the right to close Camp Dixie facilities due to inclement weather, etc. which adversely affects the safety of our services to our guests.
Our summer camp programs are open to all youths, regardless of race, color, or national origin.
Our History
The locals refer to Camp Dixie as "Page's Lake", as they knew it back in the mid-1900's before it became Camp Dixie in 1967. This brief presentation will give you a bit of background on our location as gleaned from Bladen County Agricultural maps from the late 1800's and from a series of colorized postcards published between 1925-1945.
Follow the history of Camp Dixie from its birth in the 1940's in Wilmington, NC through the relocation to Fayetteville in 1967 and on to the present day ministry. Presented at Harvest Day, October 14, 2017 as part of a celebration of 50 Years of Camping Ministry In Fayetteville, NC.
